In 2016, I started a new sit-down-in-front-of-the-computer-all-day kind of job.  My desk was next to a huge bowl of delicious candy.  It wasn’t long after that that I started feeling uncomfortable, gaining weight, and soon enough I had to go shopping for larger pants.  I had a treadmill, elliptical, and spin bike in my basement, a pile of workout videos, and infinite workout options on YouTube, but, as I’m sure you know, it’s hard to get motivated to workout in your own house.  Earlier this year I finally decided it was time to either give up or get healthy.  Around that time I saw an ad for the Lion’s Den.  I checked them out on Facebook and thought it looked interesting, but I had all this exercise equipment in my house so I didn’t really want to pay to go use someone else’s.  A little more time went by and I came across a Facebook post with people comparing their own bodies when they were consistently doing cardio vs. weights.  The weight lifting people looked amazing!  At this time I still wasn’t doing any exercise so I sent an email to the Lion’s Den.  I went in for a free intro class and I loved it!  I signed up that day for a year of unlimited classes.  It didn’t take long to see the changes in by body.  My co-workers were noticing a difference, I felt great, and I could fit in my old pants again!  So motivating!  I’ve been going 5-6 days a week since May and the results are crazy!  I’m in better shape now, at 30, than I was in high school when I was very active in sports.

If you’re at all tempted to check out the Lion’s Den, DO IT!  Don’t wait!  Don’t make excuses like I did!  The class sizes are small, so you’ll get the attention you need to learn the movements properly, and the trainers teach you about nutrition and do all the workout planning, all you have to do is show up and put in the work!

One of the best decisions I’ve made is to join the Lion’s Den! Not only have I shed pounds of fat, I’ve gained muscle and knowledge of healthy eating. And, the best part…met some great new friends!

I used to tell myself that it’s not always about the #s on the scale, but…it’s kinda about the #s on the scale! And, to see these #s change a little at a time, even when I have “terrible” workout days, when my back acts up,or it’s “cut the air” hot out, it makes me so happy I joined the Lion’s Den!

I've been consistently training here for the past 6 months, and have fallen in love with working out. I've lost 20#s and gained muscle, friends and most importantly self confidence. Every day there’s a different workout to keep you on your toes and there are Scaled options for every ability as you continue to improve - everything can be modified to your ability level.

June 15, 2018: Joined the Lion’s Den = 192.4 lbs, 37.1% Body Fat, 27% Muscle

September 5, 2018: 181.2 lbs, 35.4% Body Fat, 28.3% Muscle

October 23, 2018: 171.8 lbs, 33% Body Fat, 30% Muscle
